GrowTH Night Shelter

Over the winters of 2010/11 and 2011/12 St Paul's Shadwell has hosted one night a week of a nightshelter run in Tower Hamlets. The remaining 6 nights were hosted by other churches in the borough. The charity GrowTH runs the shelter and employs one person to work in the daytime with guests to try and permanently re-settle them. Over the two seasons we have seen guests of many different nationalities, ages and backgrounds with a good number of them having now been successfully re-housed. The shelter will re-open in November 2012, so we will be looking for volunteers to help with cooking, spending time with the guests, staying overnight and preparing breakfast in Autumn of 2012.
